The Tea & Yoga Society was founded in 1997 by a group of women regularly attending Jennifer Durand's classes, held throughout the City. Seeking more connection and depth, these"regulars" began meeting weekly to formulate customized yoga practices, study Patanjali's Yoga Sutra-s, have good conversations and create some darn good chai!
Jennifer's unique classes are taught in a small, comfortable... studio space that allows her to seamlessly integrate several aspects of yoga- asana (physical movements), pranayama (breathing exercises) and philosphy- into one accessible lesson. This approach benefits body, breath and mind in one swoop.
